Rethinking Systems: Our Journey to Become a Frappe Silver Partner
We did it – we are now official Frappe Silver Partners.
For us, this status is more than just another logo on our website. It represents our ability to understand systems, to question them, and to improve them. Those who have met us know: We do not do these things for optics or for nice sounding press reports, but because we are really good in making systems move.
Our team is certified. That means that we are consultants and developers who do not only know what they are talking about, but that we are also able to build. Certificates are tools; what matters is who uses them, and how.
From „everything is possible“ to „what makes sense“
We are working differently since we have started to use ERPNext. In the past, we used to build whatever our customers wanted. Customized ERPNext here, specific and individualized APIs there, and how about some exotic processes? Our projects were complex and challenging – and we have mastered them.
But experience has taught as that just because a project is doable, it must not necessarily make sense. This is why we have changed our approach; a change that we had a long time coming, and that isn’t finished with our certificates.
Today, we start every implementation of ERPNext with a thorough evaluation – not as a nice-to-have, but as a crucial first step. We start by defining the scope of the project, because we have seen far too many systems fail because „everything is possible“. This thinking leads to over-customization, technical debt, and finally to the realization that the actual goal was lost halfway down the road.
Our new approach is simple but powerful. We ask three major questions:
- What are the real needs of our customers?
- What can ERPNext already do?
- Where can we implement specific customizations that make sense?
Implementing an ERP-system is not a customization-marathon but the art to understand and use existing structures. We reiterate this in each of our videos and work by this day by day.
Knowledge Instead of Dependency

We want our customers to understand their systems and them to be able to customize and develop ERNext on their own without needing help for every little thing. Our philisophy is simple: Understand the system before you make decisions. Learn the system before you build it.
An ERP System should be a useful tool instead of a byzantine mystery. Therefore we rely on implementations that are as close to the standard as possible, on transparent processes, and on realistic, doable plans that fit our customers instead of a gigantic wishlist that was written during the last workshop.

We are more focussed and have sharpened our individual skills. We aren’t generalists that do „something like ERP“ anymore , but specialists with clear tasks and deep knowledge in their respective areas.
Our implementation process has a clear outline as well:

- Comprehensive training: We train key users and administrators, and anchor knowledge within the company.

It was never our final goal to become a Silver Partner. It is an important milestone, yes, but we do not think in awards or titles, but in impact and results. Sure: We want to become Gold Partner. We want to get more certificates. Do more tutorials and trainings. And work even closer with Frappe, particularly on the development-level.
But or primary goal remains the same: To provide our customers with the best ERP-experience possible. Pure, honest, efficient. Without detours, without empty promises. With clear and measurable results.
